A supported approach to crank-bolt removal

The TL-341 uses a handwheel and threaded rod to move a lever arm gradually. The hook bears against a secure support at the pedal end of the crank, while the hex key engages the crank bolt. This arrangement gives the mechanic a controlled way to apply loosening force.

Useful size options in one kit

Use the short 8 mm hex key with the lever arm for initial loosening, then the long key to complete removal. The supplied adapter expands the kit to matching 10 mm hex bolts. Choose the 200 mm or 270 mm rod according to the required reach and available clearance.

Set up before applying force

Verify the crank and pedal-support thread match, fit the support axle where appropriate, and seat the hook securely. Insert the correct hex key fully into the bolt. Turn the handwheel steadily while keeping the assembly aligned. Once loose, remove the leverage tool and finish with the hex key. Stop if any component slips or cannot seat properly.

The kit includes the handwheel, hook and support parts, lever arm, pedal support axle, two threaded rods, two 8 mm hex keys, 8-to-10 mm adapter and fitted case. Approximate kit weight including the case is 1723 g. Bicycle and crankset are not included.
