The TOOPRE Diamond Bicycle Stem Top Cap Kit is a decorative and functional headset preload top cap for compatible threadless bicycle headset systems. Its multi-faceted, diamond-style CNC-cut surface provides a distinctive cockpit detail, while the included M6 stainless steel bolt is used to set headset preload during installation.

The cap is made from lightweight aluminum alloy with a PVD-coated finish and is available in Rainbow, Gold and Matte Black. It is supplied as a complete cap-and-bolt set in a TOOPRE metal tin with EVA protective foam.

Compatibility Notice

• Designed for compatible threadless headset systems using an M6 top-cap preload bolt.
• The top cap is typically used with compatible 1-1/8 inch threadless steerer and stem systems. Confirm actual dimensions and clearance before ordering.
• A compatible star nut or expansion plug must already be installed inside the fork steerer tube; this top cap kit does not include a star nut or expansion plug.
• The top cap bolt is used only to preload the headset. It does not secure the stem for riding; stem clamp bolts must be tightened separately to the stem manufacturer's specified torque.

Installation Instructions

1. Loosen the stem clamp bolts before setting headset preload.
2. Place the top cap over the stem and spacers, then thread the included M6 bolt into the compatible star nut or expansion plug.
3. Tighten the top-cap bolt gradually only until headset play is removed and the steering rotates freely without binding.
4. Align the stem with the front wheel, then tighten the stem clamp bolts according to the stem manufacturer's torque specification.
5. Recheck that there is no headset play and that the handlebar turns smoothly before riding.

Important: The headset and stem are safety-critical components. Do not over-tighten the top-cap bolt. For carbon fiber steerer tubes, use a compatible expansion plug and follow all torque specifications provided by the fork, headset and stem manufacturers.
