Remove and install matching bicycle cassette lockrings with a TOOPRE guide-pin socket. Choose TL-220 for quick-release hubs or TL-221 for compatible thru-axle hubs. Hardened high-carbon steel, a knurled body and 21 mm wrench flats provide a practical addition to your drivetrain service kit.

Choose the correct axle version

TL-220 and TL-221 share the guided cassette-tool concept but use different guide-pin diameters. Check both the axle opening and the lockring spline profile. The tool is intended for matching cassette lockrings; it is not a universal screw-on freewheel remover.

Engagement you can control

The extended body and defined splines help maintain contact with the lockring. A knurled section provides a convenient grip while positioning the socket. Apply force through a suitable wrench or square-drive handle once the socket is fully seated.

Basic removal sequence

Remove the wheel and axle hardware as required by the hub design. Fully seat the matching socket in the lockring, hold the cassette with a chain whip, and turn the lockring in the removal direction specified for the cassette. Follow the cassette manufacturer torque specification during reinstallation.
