MAXXIS Minion DHF and DHR II Folding Mountain Bike Tires

MAXXIS Minion DHF and DHR II Folding Mountain Bike Tires

DHF balances rolling, steering and braking for aggressive trail use and is commonly fitted at the front. DHR II emphasizes braking and cornering support and is commonly fitted at the rear. Both are offered in several casings and compounds; select your exact version.

One tire per selected option. Rim, inner tube, valve and sealant are not included. Choose the exact size and version; technologies apply only to the options carrying those markings.

Understanding the Markings

EXO is a flexible reinforcement that helps resist cuts and abrasion at the sidewalls; it does not make a tire puncture-proof. TR means Tubeless Ready: a compatible rim, valve and sealant are needed for tubeless use. Tube-type options require an inner tube.

3C identifies three rubber compounds, not three casing layers. 3C MaxxSpeed favors XC rolling efficiency; 3C MaxxTerra balances trail traction and wear; 3C MaxxGrip prioritizes grip with slow rebound. Newer MaxxSpeed and MaxxTerra versions are distinct from their older 3C versions. TPI describes casing thread density.

EXO+ is a more reinforced trail casing. DD means DoubleDown, a reinforced dual-ply enduro casing; DH identifies a downhill casing. ST means Super Tacky rubber. WT is the legacy Wide Trail designation. Select only casing and compound combinations listed in the options; follow the tire and rim makers’ limits.

Specifications

Weights are supplier reference measurements and may vary by batch. Check wheel diameter, tire clearance and rim compatibility before ordering. Follow the markings on your actual tire and rim for inflation; the lower applicable limit governs.
