Overview

Compare the hanger position against the wheel rim using a pivoting alignment arm and sliding measuring probe.

Using the rim as a reference

The pivot threads into a compatible hanger and lets the tool rotate through 360 degrees. Slide the measuring rod to compare the distance to the rim at several points, using the same rim reference surface each time.

Tool selection

The orange aluminum model has about 270 mm of measuring travel. Verify the hanger thread before attaching the tool. Use a correctly mounted and true wheel and check the frame or hanger maker’s guidance before applying corrective force.

Technical specifications

The tool uses an M10 × 1 hanger thread and has approximately 270 mm of measuring travel.

The aluminum alloy tool is supplied in orange. Confirm the hanger thread before use.
