Compare derailleur hanger alignment at several positions around a bicycle rim.

Compare several rim positions

Use a correctly seated wheel as the reference. The sliding probe lets you establish an initial rim gap, then compare the gap at other positions around the wheel while the gauge pivots around the hanger attachment point.

Adjusting the gauge

The pivot handle secures the gauge to the hanger and the sliding support locks the probe position. O-rings act as reference markers on the probe. Verify the hanger thread and follow the bicycle maker’s guidance before correcting a bent hanger.

Technical specifications

The gauge has a stainless steel alignment bar, a locking pivot, a sliding probe and O-ring reference markers.

The probe and pivot adjust independently. Check the wheel is seated and true before using it as the alignment reference.
