Overview

Reset the opposing pistons of a compatible two-piston hydraulic bicycle brake caliper during service.

Choose the correct piston tool

The H07 is the narrower two-piston version. The body is approximately 27 mm wide and the illustrated spreading range is 7 to 12.5 mm. Compare the tool’s contact area and opening clearance with your caliper before service.

Parallel spreading

Turning the T-handle advances the screw and separates the two contact surfaces in parallel. Remove the pads and follow the brake maker’s piston reset procedure. The tool is supplied as one H07 assembly.

Technical specifications

The screw drive spreads the parallel plates. The T-handle is approximately 80 mm wide and the working range shown is 7 to 12.5 mm.

Check that the caliper has sufficient opening clearance for the tool. One H07 tool is included.
