Continental Ultra Sport III Wire Bead Road Bike Tire, 700x25C or 700x28C Clincher with PureGrip Compound and White Sidewall Lettering for Training

Wire-bead road tires for everyday training

Choose the Continental Ultra Sport III in a non-folding wire-bead construction with a black tread, black sidewall and white sidewall lettering. This listing offers 700 × 25C and 700 × 28C sizes for road-bike training and general road riding. Each selected option supplies one tire. The rim, wheel, inner tube and bicycle shown in the photographs are not included.

Select 700 × 25C or 700 × 28C

The 25C and 28C choices have different nominal widths, so match the tire size to your rim and the clearance available in your frame, fork and brakes. The corresponding nominal ETRTO sizes are 25-622 and 28-622. Mounted tire width can vary with rim width and inflation. Check your wheel and bicycle requirements before selecting the option; the two sizes should not be treated as interchangeable on every bicycle.

PureGrip compound and road-oriented tread

Continental identifies Ultra Sport III with PureGrip compound and a 3/180 TPI casing construction. The product photographs show a smooth central tread area and shallow angled grooves toward the shoulders. These are the wire-bead Ultra Sport III choices; the different Continental model technologies shown in general supplier comparison graphics do not all apply to this tire.

Non-folding bead and tube-type setup

The wire bead gives this tire a non-folding construction. Install it on an appropriate compatible clincher rim with a correctly sized inner tube. It is a tube-type road tire; this listing does not specify a tubeless-ready version. Check the bead seating all around the rim and follow the tire, rim and tube instructions supplied by their manufacturers.

Option-specific reference measurements

The supplier image lists an approximate net weight of 350 g for the 700 × 25C wire-bead tire and 365 g for the 700 × 28C wire-bead tire. These are supplier reference measurements and may vary by batch. The 25C image quotes 95–123 PSI and the 28C image quotes 116 PSI. Use the markings on the actual supplied tire and the applicable rim limit to determine permitted inflation; these image values are not a universal pressure recommendation.

What is included

One selected Ultra Sport III wire-bead tire is included. Choose the size in the option selector and refer to its corresponding image. The separate folding-bead variant and the sold-out 32C option from the procurement page are not included among these choices. Check the product and mounting instructions before fitting.
