Continental Terra Hardpack Folding Gravel Bike Tire, 27.5x2.0 or 29x2.0 with PureGrip Compound, ShieldWall Protection and Tubeless Ready Construction

Folding tires for hardpack and mixed-surface rides

The Continental Terra Hardpack is a folding gravel tire offered here in 27.5 × 2.0 and 29 × 2.0 sizes. Its closely spaced central tread pattern and larger shoulder blocks are visible in the detailed photographs. Choose it for the hardpack, travel and training applications described in the source material. Each selected option supplies one tire; the rim, bicycle and other equipment in the photographs are not included.

Choose wheel size and packaging separately

Four options are available: 27.5 × 2.0 boxed, 29 × 2.0 boxed, 27.5 × 2.0 bulk and 29 × 2.0 bulk. All four are folding-bead tires. Boxed options include the pictured Continental retail packaging, while bulk options are supplied without the retail box. Packaging is a separate option characteristic, so select both the wheel size and package format you need. The wire-bead options shown elsewhere on the procurement page are not among the active choices in this listing.

PureGrip compound and ShieldWall construction

The source technical information and Continental manufacturer page identify the Terra Hardpack ShieldWall with PureGrip compound, an additional woven protective layer and a 3/180 TPI casing. The close-up images show the textured inside surface and sidewall construction. ShieldWall is a puncture-protection construction, not a guarantee against every puncture. The tread, carcass and sidewall photographs below provide a closer view of these details.

Tubeless-ready or inner-tube installation

The folding Terra Hardpack ShieldWall is marked Tubeless Ready. It can be used in an appropriate tubeless setup with compatible rims, valves and sealant, or with a correctly sized inner tube. Those installation components are not included with the tire. Check the actual tire markings and the rim manufacturer requirements before selecting your setup. Follow the applicable tire and rim instructions for mounting, seating and inflation.

Size and bicycle fit

The supplier labels the two sizes as 27.5 × 2.0 and 29 × 2.0. Continental also identifies the corresponding nominal sizes as 50-584 / 650 × 50B and 50-622 / 700 × 50C. Select by the wheel diameter and compatible rim specification, then confirm that the inflated tire has adequate clearance at the frame, fork and any mudguards. Do not select a size from the bicycle category alone; a gravel bike, touring bike or mountain bike may have different clearance and rim requirements.

Supplier reference weight and pressure

The individual source option images quote approximately 530 g for the 27.5 boxed option, 550 g for the 29 boxed option, 526 g for the 27.5 bulk option and 580 g for the 29 bulk option. These are reference tire weights quoted by the supplier, with batch variation explicitly noted in the source. They are not certified packaged-shipment weights. The source images quote 65 PSI; use the markings on the actual tire and the applicable rim limit rather than treating this value as a recommended pressure for every bicycle or rider.

Tread, packing and product video

The detail sequence includes the center and shoulder tread, inner carcass, TR sidewall markings, folded-tire presentation and retail-box example. The product video shows a boxed Terra Hardpack being unpacked and the folded tire opened for a closer view. The video illustrates the boxed presentation; choose a bulk option if you do not require the retail box. The complete contents remain one tire per selected option.
